Disrupt HR is coming to Cork

DISRUPT is a global HR event series designed to ‘energize, inform and empower’ people in the HR field.
  • Now running in 24 countries it has a short and snappy format that aims to make you ‘think differently and leave you inspired’.
  • Speakers at each event have only 5 minutes to make their case, with a maximum of 20 slides per speaker that auto-rotate every 15 seconds.
  • The tagline for the event is ‘Teach us something, but make it quick’ and has been described as TED talks for people matters.

The event is being brought to Cork by Sarah Abbott and Susan Manning of The People Practice, a Cork based HR, coaching and strategy consultancy.

According to Sarah, Disrupt “is a key event for fresh ideas for anyone involved in developing the workforce, from CEO’s to HR departments and business unit managers. With competition for talent set to increase, the event will look at new ways for businesses to retain, motivate and attract new talent. The way employers have approached people and talent in the past will not be how it is done in the future. This event aims to shake things up, challenge attendees to think differently, and inspire them to make changes in their organisations.”

Confirmed speakers include Professor Valerie Pierce, Founder and Director of Clear & Critical Thinking, Barry Holmes, Group Head of HR at Royal College of Surgeons, and Professor Sebastian Green, Professor Emeritus of Management at UCC.

DisruptHR Cork takes place at 6pm on April 17th, at St Peter’s Church, Cork. Tickets can be booked through Eventbrite.
